Terms of Service

1. What Bakku does
Bakku ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered chargeback dispute service that connects to your Square account, detects chargebacks, analyzes them, generates rebuttal letters, and submits evidence to your bank on your behalf. By using Bakku at bakku.ai, you agree to these terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be a business owner or authorized representative with an active Square merchant account. You must be at least 18 years old.
3. Square account access
To use Bakku, you must authorize us to access your Square account via OAuth. This grants Bakku read access to your disputes, orders, and payment data. We use this data solely to analyze and respond to chargebacks. You can revoke access at any time from your Square Dashboard or Bakku settings.
4. AI-powered analysis
Bakku uses artificial intelligence to analyze disputes and generate rebuttal letters. While our AI is designed to produce accurate, professional responses, we do not guarantee any specific outcome. Chargeback decisions are made by banks and payment networks, not by Bakku. No guarantee of results. We cannot and do not promise that any dispute will be won. Win probability estimates are AI-generated assessments, not guarantees.
5. Autopilot mode
If you enable autopilot mode, Bakku will automatically submit evidence to Square for disputes that meet our confidence threshold without requiring your manual review. You are responsible for ensuring that autopilot mode is appropriate for your business. You can disable autopilot at any time from your settings.
6. Beta period
Bakku is currently in beta. During the beta period, the service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce pricing, modify features, or change the terms of service with 30 days notice.
7. Your responsibilities
You must provide accurate business information. You must not use Bakku to submit fraudulent or misleading evidence. You must not attempt to manipulate or deceive the dispute process. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before submission if autopilot is disabled.
8. Data and privacy
Your use of Bakku is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We take the security of your data seriously and encrypt sensitive information at rest.
9. Intellectual property
Bakku, including its AI models, software, design, and brand, is owned by Bakku. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute any part of the service.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bakku is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost revenue, lost profits, or lost chargebacks, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Bakku shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
11. Service availability
We aim to keep Bakku available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability.
12. Termination
You may stop using Bakku and disconnect your Square account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or use the service fraudulently.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the email associated with your account. Continued use of Bakku after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
